As you may already know, the State of Connecticut CHET 529 plan will soon be transitioning to Fidelity Investments for management. The State of Connecticut has made the decision to change investment providers from The Hartford to Fidelity. We think this is a good move and will benefit clients with a number of advantages, not the least of which is the excellent management of Fidelity’s investment team.

This change is expected to happen on or around February 8th, 2021 and there is nothing you need to do to effect this change. Investments that you have within your CHET plan will automatically map over to an equivalent fund at Fidelity.

In order to provide a forum for clients to learn more about this transition, and to ask any questions you may have, we have scheduled a Zoom conference call with representatives from Fidelity on Thursday Feb 4, 2021 at Noon.
