Jim Stockman is recognized in the industry as an authority on college funding -he’s even written a book on it. He enjoys working not just with local families, but also directly with schools and counselors to help Nutmeggers with their college planning needs.
Additionally, he is an Elite Advisor in the Power of Zero movement – focusing on getting clients to a tax-free retirement. In addition to teaching adult education courses at universities throughout Connecticut, he’s also been featured on both Fox and ABC stations.
After spending time sailing professionally in New Zealand, Jim began his financial career in 2011 and eventually assumed the role of Vice President with Transamerica - leading a team in charge of all offices across Connecticut.
After more than a decade in the field, he joined Charles and the Vaylark team, drawn by the firm’s strong reputation, independent approach, and family-first philosophy.
When time allows, Jim enjoys spending time with family, losing golf balls across various CT courses, and sailing out on the Long Island Sound. In the winter, he likes to relive his Ski Patroller glory days on the local mountains.
